todolist # 14 - Sequence the activities
Once we know the activities, the next step is to sequence them based on their dependencies. Dependencies can be either internal to the project or external. Mainly we use two techniques for activity sequencing;
1) Activity on node diagram (AON)
a) On activity on node diagrams (AON) , activities are represented on the nodes
b) AON can represent four types of dependencies (finish to start, finish to finish, start to start, start to finish)
c) It is the most widely used
2) Activity on arrow diagrams (AOA)
a) On activity on arrow diagrams, the activities are represented on the arrows.
b) Activity on arrow diagrams can represent only finish to start dependencies
c) Not widely used

Comments
There are scores of articles available regarding planning and other functions in a project. where can one find an acytual example giving sequence of activities with time involved. example design - design approval, next comes which document/activity and so on. since there are projects done on repeat basis. exam,ple efinery project. one refinery to another may not be much differnet but the steps involved are similar. where to find these sequence of steps with time required to implement these steps. i will aprreciate your reply
