About IISP

IISP is an educational, professional development, and consulting organization that aims at promoting practical methods  and approaches to software process improvement.  IISP does not promote a specific approach or model to SPI.  Instead, IISP take a pragmatic approach which utilizes some of the most practical methods to produce better results
faster and cheaper.  To reach its goal, IISP, with the guidance of its industry advisory board has developed the Software Process Improvement Body of Knowledge (SPIBOK), which service as the basis for the International Software Process Improvement Certification (ISPIC).

IISP provides training, consulting and mentoring using methods that are not necessarily tied to any specific formal assessment model.  In support, of its objectives, IISP hosts the International Conference on Software Process Improvement (ICSPI).  ICSPI brings in world authorities in and practitioners in software process improvement to share
